The Wear Valley Woodturners Association was formed in October 2004 and aims to provide a convivial forum to encourage a greater awareness of the wood turners' art and craft. This is achieved by providing woodturning demonstrations by members, invited guests and professional turners.

We meet on the third Monday in each month at the Bearpark Community Centre, Auton Stile, County Durham. Postcode DH7 7AG. Click HERE for a location map.

WE CAN OFFER YOU....

Monthly demonstrations by professional turners and invited guests.
A good library of woodturning DVDs and books which members can borrow.
Equipment for hire includes a Roly Munro Hollowing Tool, Bosch Electric Wood Carver, hand thread chasers, and a Sorby Spiralling/Texturing tool.
Wear Valley Woodturning Association is an associate member of the AWGB (Association of Woodturners of Great Britain).
A friendly and very enthusiastic membership who are keen to exchange ideas and provide help and advice to newcomers of all ages in the art of woodturning.
